Here are just a few that you should learn:

Six Ecoissaises by Beethoven - this is a much more light-hearted piece than his other works.

Sonata in G major - Haydn

Sonata in C major - Haydn

Sonata in D major - Haydn ( I am a bit of a Haydn fanatic...mayb because most of his stuff is cheerful)

Any of Bach's Two Part Inventions...they are hard enough to learn on the technical side of things.

I like his Two Part Invention in A minor

Traumerie by Schumann - this is as slow soft piece and is widely known.

Waltz in a flat by Brahms (i think that is the name of it...it is his most famous piece anyway!)

Chopin's Nocturne in C minor.

Fur Elise by Beethoven (everybody thinks this is an easy piece but most people have only ever learnt to play the intro. The full piece is quite challenging!)

Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven

Dance of the Sugar Plum fairy by Tchaikovsky (This sounds really nice on piano)

Morning by Edvard Grieg ( this is very nice too and has recieved huge recognition)

Sonata in E flat Major K282, second movement, Menuetto I and II by Mozart

Mazurca in A minor by Chopin

I hope that this helps...These are some of my favourite pieces by these composers. I have been playing piano for nine years too!

Anyway...you should try something that isn't actually classical like film scores. The harry potter film score sounds amazing on piano especially Fawkes the Phoenix! I LOVE John Williams. Here is a link to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHIHqZyK9rI

I've been working with the course for about a week now, and it's incredible. Just the practice aids and the different scales and memory techniques in Book 9 are worth the price of the course, alone! There are two things that make this course stand out. First, all the video and audio files are embedded in the lesson. I have yet to find another piano course that makes it this easy. It's so nice not to have three files going at the same time!

The second thing is that you actually get to play in each lesson! And the songs are not "Mary had a Little Lamb" types! From the Beatles to Bethoven, it's all there. I have several piano courses that I have ordered over the internet. This is the one I use because it makes learning fun! I'm amazed! Once you get the rhythms down, you really can sound like a pro! Great fun! Thanks for making this available at such a reasonable price. Anyone who doesn't grab this up is going to go the long way home! Joy!

Let's go off the Hit Parade a little bit. Although there is absolutely nothing wrong with the names you listed, do you want to be one of the 16,753 people already playing the Chopin E flat Nocturne, Haydn D major Sonata, or Moonlight Sonata?

Scriabin - Preludes, op. 11. Wide level of difficulty here and these are lovely.

Gliere - Prelude in D Flat, op. 43 no. 1 (available as a sheet from Alfred)

Khachaturian - Toccata (this is overplayed in some areas, not in others.)

Debussy - La puerta del Vino

Ravel - Menuet from Sonatine

Trygyve Torjussen - To the Rising Sun, op. 4 no. 1 (published by Alfred now, this used to be hard to find)

Enrique Granados - Spanish Dances - no. 5 is very popular - nos. 1 and 2 are similar difficulty and very effective in performance

Federico Mompou - Cancion y danza 1

Edward MacDowell - Hungarian Etude, op. 39 no. 12

Aaron Copland - Scherzo Humoristique (The Cat and the Mouse)

Satie's Gymnopédies are nice, but you probably already know them if you have been playing for 9 years, they are super easy. Shostakovitch's Piano Concerto #2. Moonlight Sonata as that other person said is really good. The Chopin Nocturnes are good, #2 is one of the best. Btw, sorry if you already know how to play these, they are pretty common pieces.

try some more extravagant songs such as chopins fantaisie impromptu. or if your looking for really expressive music try some rachmaninoff, and his preludes perhaps.

There are no such things as piano songs, classical or otherwise... songs are pieces of music written for vocals.

Moonlight sonata is the most gorgeous song on piano in my opinion.
