Minimal, algorithmic, linear, geometric all of which make it so alluring.

I love his music when it's in a film. They add so much into the texture and mood of every scene. Here is a list of his music in film: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001275/
I have performed it and listen to it in a concert setting...it get really repetitive...not as fun. It got boring. It was really aweful when it was set to ballet because it didn't provide any immediate drama like the music of Tchaikovsky and Stravinsky.
Therefore, I think his music is fantastic in many way, it's best fit into the film genre.

I have very much enjoyed it in fairly small doses. The depressive and repetitive nature of many pieces can make it a bit of a mood killer on a good day.

I love it. I was first introduced to his music through the score of the film the Hours, and I just love his music, it's very haunting.
