I need to find free-use music for a school animation project I am doing. I will animate a story to it, basically a music video. I am looking for music that does not have any lyrics, and I would prefer orchestral/symphony/classical stuff.

I absolutely loved most of the Wolf's Rain soundtrack, such as My Little Flower and Beyond Me. perhaps something with as much or close to as much feeling and beauty?

I have a couple main ideas:

A tribe member is exiled by his brother, the leader of the tribe after doing something terrible. It won't necessarily show the action, but it shows the exiling. He then wanders into the forest and finds a volcano with a dark and wonderful mesmerizing light. He stays there, and over time becomes vulgar, evil, and blood thristy, looking for revenge on his old tribe (by this time he has gained followers). So I want something sad at the beginning, and then evil/dark/intense at the end.

The next story is a group of fighters in a wasteland, where the sun (and their god) has stopped shining. Convinced this is their version of satan's doing, they set out to find her lair. I want something very epic, intense, dark, and just overall menacing for this one.

HOWEVER: if you have good pieces that I could use for free for this school project, please share them with me. I can create up a number of stories on the spot, just by listening to the music. With a good enough piece, I sort of... lose myself in it. I can think of nothing but it, and the story it tells me. really, I'm just looking for some music I can lose myself in and get a good animation out of.

Please help! I have looked at numerous of these same posts (though usually they are just looking to listen, and not use for a project) and found one I liked: Vivaldi - Winter. But I would like some other suggestions. It is important that these are FREE TO USE for school projects. I have searched on sites like freeplay.com but wasn't really satisfied with what I found.

Magnatune is a collection of free-use music.

Not sure how tech savvy you are, but if you have Internet Download Manager it's very easy to download the mp3's as you view them in the player.

Edit: You may also need to edit out the "You've been listening to Magnatune" type messages at the end of certain tracks.

in my opinion Garage band is probably the best software for you , very easy to use and you can plug in music equipment to your computer/laptop , and record sounds and edit them :) , ive used it in the past when i use to go to school , and it is an excellent software believe me!
