You seem to be a beginner , always the C note in all octaves is the white key located prior to the two black keys , then you should be able to indicate the middle C and all the other notes.

You can, but only up to about grade 3 or 4 standard. A normal piano has 88 keys! Don't worry, a keyboard will do, but really you should at least have an 88 key keyboard. Another thing to consider is that keys are slightly thinner and smaller on a keyboard than on a piano, and you will struggle to adjust to a real piano after using a keyboard. In short, keyboards are okay for beginners, but an 88 key keyboard or piano is needed for the intermediate grades onwards really.

There are 2 groups of black notes that help you find the names of the white notes (named alphabetically). The ones with 2 black notes are nestled between the notes C, D, and E (from left to right). In the group of 3 black notes, F G A B (L to R) surrounds. E and F, as well as B and C are the only notes that are not separated by a black key.

The black notes are called sharps or flats, depending on what white note you're comparing them to. The left black key in the 2 black key group is called C# (c sharp) or D flat. So the right black key is D sharp or e flat.

abcdefg black keys are sharps. so if a was your first key the black key in between a and b would be an a sharp. when you reach g restart. and if there isnt a black key inbetween two white keys then theres no sharp to that note.
