Are you kidding! This piano was made by my husband's ancestor David C. The company began in 1860 in NYC. They were known for their purity of tone and were sold all over the continent. We have contemplated the idea of finding and restoring one. What are your plans for this one?

According to the Pierce Piano Atlas the company was established in 1850 in NY by David T. Peek. If your serial number is correct it was made between 1885 and 1890. They also made pianos with the name Opera. Also listed in the atlas are several Peeks but there is no infromation other than the name and maybe a date.
