It's like this,

E,E,E,C,E,G,lowG,C,G,E,A,B,A#,A,G,E,G,A,F,G,E,C,D,B is the main part, the rest is a little harder.

I am afraid no-one does 'letters not notes'. Why would they want to spend all that time? Merely having a string of letters tells you nothing about how to play the music. Even if I just give you 'A' - how do you know which 'A' to play? How do you know how long the notes are? Or how loud they are? Or what harmony is needed? Or what rhythm is required? You can't tell any of these things. That's what musical notation is for. You really should learn to read music. It's not that difficult (very young children can do it - therefore, so can you). Once you have mastered this small task (and it's a LOT easier than learning to read and write), you will have the whole musical world at your fingertips.

Are you talking about the original 8-bit Nintendo or the N64 Mario, or maybe even the Super Nintendo one? They have different music scores.

Run a search for Mario Pianist on YouTube. There's a guy who plays a medley of Mario music blindfolded. It's pretty darn cool.

How long it takes to learn guitar depends on how good you want to get and how much practice you put in. How good you can get with 1-2 hours a day for a few months depends on what methods you use to practice. There are effective practice methods that will help you make the best use of your time. This course is one of the best. https://biturl.im/aU0wi It's not just about how much you play but how effectively you play that will determine how good you will get.
