Question:
What would a Wurlitzer Baby Grand Piano go for?

My church is trying to sell one of these, we don't use it anymore. I'm still doing the research on my own, but someone who can point me a right direction would help shorten my search. I just need to find a price we can shoot for so that we can start looking to sell it.

Thanks!

My church ended up buying such a thing for something like $600. I think it was an "epic fail", but there was a decision that a tiny grand piano in rough shape would be more appealing than a beautifully rebuilt upright.

... which now sits wasting away in another room. Each day I hope the owner decides to "ungift" the (guessing) ~$3,000 donation and find a good home for it.

Edit: More to your point. 1. Have a piano technician take a look at the instrument and give you a fair-market appraisal for your area. 2. See if a piano dealer will take it on consignment (better chance of selling more quickly, for a fee.) 3. Be aware that the name Wurlitzer, when applied to pianos, is not a strong selling point. They were always lower-end pianos, not the worst in the world, but certainly not great.

Wurlitzer hasn't made grand pianos for many years. (more than 8) Baldwin bought them about 1980, and they use the name on their low end pianos now. Find a Baldwin dealer, they might be able to tell you more about the Wurlitzer line of grands edit I have to take that back. I know that Wurlitzer quit making grands for years, I was not aware that Baldwin started importing some electric grands from China in the '90'9, under the Wurlitzer name.. They were then sold to the Gibson Guitar Company, I would do a search on Gibson and see if you can find some info from on them, and Baldwin. They may be able to help you I'm sorry, I can't help you any more than that
