Very difficult to choose one of the Goldberg Variations a a favorite but if I had to choose I would go with Variation 13 (with Variation 25 a very close second).

Several of the variations are not particularly difficult but I think that Variation 19 is probably the easiest.

I sorry... i won't join the finished "You play Bach your way and that i'll play it HIS way" element. this does not mean I have no regard for unique tool song, yet maximum song for the harpsichord could be performed besides on the fashionable piano... and a super variety of the time extra useful. regrettably (although some might disagree) Silbermann exchange into by no potential able to strengthen the piano technically sufficient to make any effect on Johann Sebastian. His son, although exchange into able to understand the flexibility of the tool. i like Gould's Goldbergs nicely sufficient, notwithstanding in the event that they stay particularly "mannered" as far as i'm worried. i'm extremely prepared on Andras Schiff's version, which I even have come to treat as possibly the wonderful occasion. i'm informed (although I even have yet to take heed to them) that Murray Perahia version is outstanding and the mythical Sviatoslav Richter made a stable recording of them. there's a stable dissertation by potential of the friendly Angela Hewitt with regards to enjoying Bach's song on the fashionable piano (her Goldbergs are additionally amazing). performed on the outstanding Fazioli piano - it shows off the cost of recent units and cutting-edge recording engineering. The Goldberg adjustments - like lots Baroque - too stable to restricted be to the harpsichord.
